Here are the words: Very rare and 1 of only 7 built (and I am lead to believe that 1 of the 7 built was damaged beyond repair so that makes 6) this car has the least amount of use of any T400R and will be delivered fresh ready to use with newly rebuilt engine and some spares. The car has all the updates that where available to the T400R and was one of the quickest of the 7 produced, run and prepared by the same team from new and comes with all the help and set-up information you will need to run this car correctly. Please contact us for full spec its mega and any other information on this TVR legend. Fresh engine and most parts recently rebuilt therefore will come ready to use.
This car is a very worthy investment and will only go up in value only for sale to help fund BTCC car. Rarely does aT400R come up for sale and I doubt TVR will ever produce a race car again or even a car ! It can be used in many race series or just kept as an investment as its a stunning looking car.
So the seller talks about an “investment”. The question is: does it make sense? Nowadays it’s clear modern supercars won’t acquire value in the future (Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione, Ferrari 430 Scuderia, Porsche 997 GT2, Aston Martin DBS, Lamborhini Reventon…) has the scenery changed. There are plenty of them, there’s less prestige…
I can say for myself what I’d do with this car if she could become part of my collection: I’d make it road legal and go to work with her. Exciting.
