Few weeks for the Gathering of Griffiths TVRs.
We have hundreds of goody bag fillers, guest speakers (Dick Monnich & Tom Shelton), Car autographing by not only some of the original Griffith factory workers but also by Jack Griffith’s partner, Dick Monnich, the first licensed TVR marque importer to the USA and seeing some of the greatest vintage race cars on the track at Mid-Ohio.

We also have some valuable door prizes that will be awarded along with many of the freebies sent to us by our many sponsors. Make sure to leave some room in the boot for the ride home! We have been promised to see the “just now being restored” Series 200 # 141 owned by Doug Mann who has owned the car since just after its birth. I have seen some of the photos and it appears to be one of the best resto-jobs lately… and in the original light blue carriage! Heck… we might even be able to set our eyes on Don Antilla’s immaculate blue custom-resto 200-5-059 that is soooo perfect, he’s trying to make sure that the pollen count will be down at Mid-Ohio for the weekend! See the attached progress photos of both cars.

All registered attendees will receive a commemorative autographed plaque designed and commissioned by Dick Monnich and prizes for the Best Griffith and Best TVR will be awarded. All registered cars will also receive an autographed dash plaque for their ride. Make sure that you go to the Mid-Ohio website to purchase your weekend track event tickets. The Saturday evening dinner will feature a speaking presentation and an informal chat by Dick Monnich.

We will have representative models of many TVRs and the Griffith Series 200, 400, 600 and the TVR Griffith 500 that will be brought in by a rowdy group of Brits who have promised to exhibit some good behaviour! (Ha!) We will be arriving late Wednesday so that I might be able to enjoy a Thursday round of golf at the Deer Ridge Golf Club where we will be holding the Saturday evening dinner. If you want to go 18 holes with some of the duffers in the group, drop a line so we can make arrangements. If you register after the cut-off date, please note the increase in the registration fee.

Take the time to get your entry in NOW. Time’s running short. Cheers
