The TVR Griffith 500 SE was the last model of the Griffith family. In 2000 TVR announced that the production of the Griffith was going to an end. To celebrate this model, TVR management decided to create the last 100 cars marked as TVR Griffith 500 SE.

Although they were almost totally similar to the standard Griffith 500’s, the SEs had some differences:

– TVR Chimaera dashboard
– TVR Cerbera seats.
– Different rear lights
– Different door mirrors,
– Higher powered headlights
– Clear indicator lenses
– A numbered plaque in the glove box and the build number and a Special Edition Badge on its boot
– A unique signature in the boot under the carpet
– Some of them came also with 16 inch wheels and each car comes with.

Under the bonnet there was again the brutal SOHC V8 engine, 4.997 cc, 340 hp, more than 430 Nm, 5 gears transmission, rear traction, from 0 to 60 mph in some more than 4″, and max speed of nearly 170 mph. The SE was long 3.892 mm with a 2.286 mm long wheelbase. All the SE were built between 2000 and 2002, with the last registered in 2003.
