As I was correctly informed recently by a PR Manager of an important German motoring brand, Mercedes-Benz used the TVR Cerbera as a testing mule for the Mercedes SLR-McLaren engine. There could be currently two units in Mercedes rooms in Stuttgart and thanks to a japanese fellow here are a couple of images.
As well a chassis modifications the bonnet had been altered to accept the superchargers and the engines huge size along with the frontal air intake (on the SLR it is in the Mercedes cross-hairs). Interesting that both BMW and Mercedes have both used english sportscar manufacturers for their engine testing (BMW used an Ultima for the F1 engine).
