A TVR enthusiast from Paraguay bought his first TVR. He checked ebay and found what he was looking for: “1969 RHD TVR Vixen, Great candidate for Tuscan or Griffith conversion, or keep it original. Engine is a Ford Kent 1600 upgraded to 1700 Specs and appears to have been raced while in England, hence the roll bar. Engine is not frozen and will turn freely by hand. Comes with new rear windscreen, Green exterior with black and red interior, origianl TVR rims in good shape, has two places on the frame that will need repaired other wise ok“.

The car isn’t in Paraguay yet; he has to wait three months for it to arrive, then he’ll started a diary about the restoration process with the costs and everything else. The engine will be taken to Argentina for a full restoration.

Here’s a comment from him: “I´ve been seeing videos of TVR’s racing and I can’t wait to have mine. We do not have a circuit here in Paraguay, but I allways gather with some friends and race in the streets at night; it’s the closest we can get to racing. About the workshop manual I bought a book from Haynes called “TVR: Ever the Extrovert” after I read it I can recomend it.
