“Inimitable British sports car maker TVR today previewed the revised pre-production prototype Sagaris, the company’s hugely appealing flagship model. The unveiling, which took place in Lancashire, England, was brought forward to commemorate the recent death of the marque’s founder, Trevor Wilkinson.
Members of the TVR Car Club, one of the largest and most active single-marque car associations, and other special guests attended the official event. Hints were made at the exciting plans to recommence production, which was put temporarily on hold when TVR closed its factory in December 2006; since then, the company has been hard at work to develop its model range and to get production up-and-running.
In addition to the advancements made to the mark two Sagaris, including ergonomic pedals, Sparco leather seats, rear exit exhausts and a one-piece bonnet, this new release also has some subtle exterior modifications, a completely restyled interior and many advances in the build process, attention-to-detail and materials used.
Perhaps most noteworthy is the touch-screen digital centre console, which integrates a fully reworked climate control, DAB radio and audio system, satellite navigation and Bluetooth telephone. Further improvements and alterations are to be completed before production commences.
